Cub Enterprise was started in 1996 by Jeffrey Cub Gummow to meet the need for a qualified stone mason to the ever-growing Cape Cod population. Cub's reputation as a master stone worker has developed due to work he has performed for local builders, excavation companies and homeowners alike. Through this work, Cub found that there was a great need for natural stone retaining walls to create useable yards and landscapes in the hilly areas of Falmouth and Cape Cod in general. A lot was learned about working in difficult terrains and awkward, tight job sites during the beginning stages of his career. The experience gained from working in challenging conditions with difficult materials native to the Cape, including sand and clay, have led to Cub's mastery of his machines, as well as perhaps the greatest aspect of his work: turning a stack of rocks into artwork. After 12 years of operation, our small company has grown a bit bigger while maintaining our reputation for constructing stonewalls as art work. We pride ourselves in quality stonework at a price that is affordable for everyone. Although we work with many landscape materials, we specialize in stonewalls and custom stone work, including fire pits and outdoor grills.
